Upholstered Slipcover Options

Culver City, California - (April, 2009) - Powell Co. introduces “Slip Overs,” upholstered slipcover options for living and dining room seating during the spring High Point Market, in the company’s National Building showroom.

A straight-back Parson’s dining chair will be sold at retail for $99, with 18 slipcover options, which are merchandised on a specially designed point of sale display stand. Nine fabric options in livable shades like tan, olive, a neutral check pattern and tone-on-tone paisley are available with and without to-the-floor skirting. Each slipcover will retail between $40 and $70. Exposed wood chair legs feature a Merlot finish.

“Slip covers are an easy add-on sale for the dealer and a cost effective way for consumers to change the look of their rooms,” says Tom Liddell, senior vice president, National Sales. “Powell created a turnkey display to make it easy for stores to sell the concept.”

For the living room, Emma, an armless slipper chair, is sold in standard microfiber and retails for $199. Three tight fit slipcovers are available in tan, olive and black, priced to sell for $60 each.
