Culver City, California - (September 25, 2007) -
Powell Co. is expanding their successful incentive program to allow customers placing qualifying orders during High Point Market a choice of a laptop computer or the hot new iPhone. The promotion celebrates success of the company’s innovative
Powell Retailers
Online program, or PowellPRO, which gives wholesale and retail customers ready access to a host of information on Powell products from any computer or Internet-accessible mobile phone.
The case goods, accent and occasional furniture importer had a record-breaking Vegas Market in July, which it attributes to both new product introductions and dealer interest in
PowellPRO. With a new LittleMissMatched™ licensed youth collection set to debut at High Point, along with introductions in every product category, including casual dining and a significant offering of new hand painted accents in Masterpiece, the company is expecting even more success.
“The iPhone seemed like a natural item to add to our incentive program,” said Tom Liddell, senior vice president of national sales for Powell. “There’s been so much excitement about the iPhone because it allows customers to do everything in one place — check email, access the Web, make phone calls — it’s the most advanced phone out there, and yet it’s easy to use. Similarly, Powell PRO allows Powell customers to do a wide range of things from one site, from accessing the full catalog of products with photos, pricing and availability to checking order status to finding deals on specials and closeouts. It’s a revolutionary software that helps business run more smoothly, and yet it’s incredibly easy to use.”
The incentive program was introduced to dealers at the Las Vegas Furniture Market and continued in Tupelo. During High Point Market, October 1 – 7, 2007, buyers will take home their choice of a complimentary laptop or iPhone with stock orders of $6,000 made in Powell’s showroom in the National Furniture Mart. The portable computer features a 160GB hard drive with 1GB of RAM and a dual core processor, along with a DVD writer, integrated camera, 5-in-1 card reader and wireless capabilities.
Dealers are encouraged to use their free laptop to set up PowellPRO at their stores, so consumers can see the full line of Powell products available and easily surf through hundreds of options. The iPhone is a convenient way for buyers to access all sorts of information through PowellPRO while on the road, and check order status or availability easily and quickly. Dealers at the Las Vegas and Tupelo markets were thrilled with this promotion.
“I love my new laptop, and it makes it easier than ever to access
PowellPRO,” said David Ehler of Hallettsville, Texas-based
Ehler’s Furniture. “The program has changed the way we do business by giving us information at our fingertips that we can access anytime from anywhere.”
Daphne Oliveros of CS WO Furniture/Homeworld agrees. “PowellPRO has really streamlined our operations, and simplified the entire ordering process,” she said.
“Leave it to Powell to create a highly functional, easy-to-use system that does everything all in one place.”
